August 26, 2026 - It's been a minute hasn't it. I am sorry that I went MIA for so long. There were quite a few big life things that happened all at once and I just lost the capacity for doing much else besides surviving. I tend to post most updates to IG and Patreon since that is where most of my active follower base is but I am really wanting to try and get more active with my own damn website lol

There have been quite a lot of life milestones happening with the biggest changes being moving cross country to the middle of nowhere United States (which has been amazing already btw) and both kids now being grown and out of the house. Having spent the last 20+ years living for my kids it has been quite an adjustment with not having to do that part of being a parent now.

Perimenopause has been kicking my ass. Itchy ears will absolutely be the thing to drive me insane before it's over, I have no doubt. I am the lucky recipient of the frozen shoulder symptom so that's been great. There is also the defcon 5 level of perimenopause rage that hits out of the blue, just freeze and make sure I don't hear you or see you and you'll maybe be fine. (Fun fact I almost started a perimenopause rage IG story chronicle). Let's not forget the fact that my libido has practically disappeared. Why do someone women get the crazy insane spike in libido with peri but lil ol me had to be relegated to the Sahara Desert? It's a sad state of affairs honestly. BUT! I have maybe found a combination of supplements that are slowly...very fucking slowly...helping out. They have at least been helping out enough that I am excited to record again soon.

This brings me to audios and posting audios. While I was on my hiatus, I was informed that the hated AI and the AI bots were out and about scraping and stealing audios from VAs and other creators to get posted on AI sites. Well, I was one of the lucky ones they hit. I haven't had a chance to go back and revisit those sites to start the process of getting things removed but that will be an ongoing process, I think. Many other VAs and audio creators are steering clear of Soundgasm because of this and are posting to other audio hosting platforms. I was going to switch to the next popular audio hosting platform that I knew of, Audio Chan, but there has been some issues with them recently that makes me hesitant to move forward with taking my audios there. The next one on the list is Hot Audio but unfortunately I know next to nothing about this one and am also hesitant to move forward there because of the massive amount of work involved with moving all my audios over to something I am not familiar with. Yes, I know...hi website, but I really don't have the traffic here that would warrant solely utilizing here either. Which is totally and completely on me but when you have to divide your spoons into a very few select places you have to pick the ones that work in the moment.

I have missed making audios and am excited to get back to it. I am going to make sure this go round though that I give myself the space to not get burnt out again. I don't need to put out audios all the time and it's okay to take my time with anything and everything. I might decide to post more just on my sites (here and Patreon) with having so many of the subreddits being targeted by AI for stealing work is it worth the hassle to post to Reddit? I mean I know they can get you anywhere, but Reddit is Reddit after all. I have also been feeling some things (cough) (cough) imposter syndrome (cough) about coming back but I am kindly telling my brain to fuck off with it's lying and I am trying to believe it.

1. I am getting back in the swing of things after a very very rough life milestone filled last few months.

2. Perimenopause sucks.
